POST /v1/place
Google Place Details API
Look up one place by place ID, CID or feature ID and get its full Google Maps listing: address, country, coordinates, time zone, opening hours as text and as structured data, phones, website, rating, description and photos.
Overview
What the Google Place Details API does
The Place Details API returns the public Google Maps listing of one place. Identify it with place_id, cid or fid (all three come back from the Maps and Places APIs). The address, categories, hours text and description come in language.
Opening hours come twice: opening_hours as Google displays them, and weekly_hours as local 24-hour intervals per weekday, with the place's IANA timezone, so you can tell whether a place is open now without parsing text. Up to 10 photos come with public URLs you can fetch server-side.
One place costs 1 credit, with no per-field SKUs. An identifier that matches no place returns empty results and isn't billed.
What you get
-
results[0]object - title, address, country (ISO code), latitude, longitude, timezone (IANA), rating, rating_count, price_level, type, types, website, phone_number, international_phone_number, opening_hours, weekly_hours, description, photos, thumbnail_url, google_maps_url, place_id, cid, fid.
-
weekly_hoursobject - monday … sunday, each a list of {open, close} local times (HH:MM). Closed is [], open 24 hours is [{"open":"00:00","close":"24:00"}], and an interval past midnight has next_day: true.
-
photos[]array - Up to 10: url, width, height and source (business or visitor).
-
requestobject - Echo of the normalized request (endpoint, engine, q, country, language, page…), handy for logging.
-
metaobject - request_id, credits_used, cached, engine, latency_ms, resolved_urls and parse_quality. parse_quality=empty means the call was not billed.
