POST /v1/patents
Google Patents API
Search Google Patents and get each patent's publication number, title, assignee, inventor, priority, filing, grant and publication dates, and a PDF link.
Overview
What the Google Patents API does
The Google Patents API returns Google Patents search results as JSON. Every result carries the publication_number, assignee, inventor, the four key dates (priority_date, filing_date, grant_date, publication_date), language and pdf_url.
It's a quick way to run prior-art searches or watch a competitor's filings without a patent database subscription.
What you get
-
results[]array - position, title, snippet, link, publication_number, priority_date, filing_date, grant_date, publication_date, inventor, assignee, language, pdf_url, thumbnail_url.
-
requestobject - Echo of the normalized request (endpoint, engine, q, country, language, page…), handy for logging.
-
metaobject - request_id, credits_used, cached, engine, latency_ms, resolved_urls and parse_quality. parse_quality=empty means the call was not billed.
