POST /v1/research
Deep research
Some questions need ten searches and thirty pages. Hand them to a research task: it plans the searches, reads the sources, fills the gaps and returns a report where every claim cites a numbered source.
How it works
Async research tasks that end in a cited report.
POST /v1/research starts a background task and returns 202. Claude Haiku 5.5 plans the Google queries; the pages they find are read and ranked against the task; a decision model checks coverage and drops off-topic sources; Claude reviews what is missing and plans follow-up rounds; then it writes the report.
Pick the effort: lite (3 queries, 1 round) for 30 credits, standard (5 queries, 2 rounds) for 75, or deep (8 queries, 3 rounds) for 200. The price is flat, reserved at enqueue and charged only when the report is written.
Poll GET /v1/research/{id} or take the signed research.completed webhook. The result has the Markdown report, the citations, every source with the query that found it, every query run, and with output_schema a JSON value too.
