Migration guides
Switch to SerpKite
Each guide has a before/after diff, a parameter and response mapping table, the gotchas we know about, and a checklist. Most migrations are installing the SDK and mapping a few fields.
From Google Custom Search JSON API
Google shuts down the Custom Search JSON API on January 1, 2027. SerpKite's GET /customsearch/v1 accepts the same key, cx, q, start and num and returns the same items[] shape. Change one hostname.
From Bing Search API
Microsoft retired the Bing Search APIs on August 11, 2025. Map Bing Web Search v7 parameters and webPages.value[] to SerpKite's Google results in a few lines.
From SerpApi
Map SerpApi's engine=google parameters and response (organic_results, knowledge_graph, related_questions) to SerpKite's v1 API and official SDKs. Up to 90% lower list price per 1,000 searches.
From Tavily
Map Tavily's search(query, max_results, topic, include_raw_content) to SerpKite's Google search with format=markdown and include_content. Real Google results at a fraction of the price.
From Brave Search API
Brave ended its free API tier in February 2026. Map Brave Web Search parameters and web.results[] to SerpKite: 2,500 free credits with no card, then from $0.60 per 1k.
